A distinctive denarius depicting the motif of a fight with a lion, a symbol of Ladislaus' courage in his duel with evil.
The issue is dated 1138-1146.
Obverse: a prince on a throne with a sword in his hand, next to him a standing squire handing a royal apple, in the rim a legend;
Reverse: knight fighting a lion, behind the knight a tree;
