A magnificent mint piece, with beautiful luster throughout.
Coin in NGC slab with very high MS64 grade.
Only two pieces graded higher - rare in this condition!
One of many punctuation variants:
- on the obverse no punctuation after the letters D G in the first line, and after the M and D in the word MDL;
- On the reverse, a period between GROSS REG, a colon before the date, which is not separated by punctuation.
Strongly recommended.
Obverse: Rosettes on the sides of the crown, under the crown an inscription in three lines SIG:III:DG/.REX.POL./.MDL.
Reverse: Eagle facing left, surround legend GROSS.REG(h.Pilawa)POLO:1614*.
