Extremely rare Poznan denarius with the name of the city in the legend, practically unheard of on the collector's market.
In the catalog of Edmund Kopicki being the opening item of the municipal minting section of Poznan, with a rarity grade of R7.
The coin, whose iconography, Jaroslaw Jąder, sees in the new coat of arms of Wielkopolska established by Casimir the Great in the middle of the 14th century.
It is worth mentioning that stamps much wider than the disks themselves were used to produce these coins.
Therefore, the obverse legends are usually preserved in fragments, and in the offered piece many letters are legible.
A very nice piece, charming old patina.
For the best collections.
