Probably the oldest coin of the Teutonic Order, dated 1236-48. Witold Garbaczewski describes this type of coin as follows: "The symbolism of this composition is clear - knights with a cross on their cloaks carry the banner of Christianity to the pagan lands of the Prussians."
Variety with 5 balls on the left side of the pennant, straight cross in the center with ball-shaped ends.
