Probably the oldest coin of the Teutonic Order, dated 1236-48. Witold Garbaczewski describes this type of coin as follows: "The symbolism of this composition is clear - knights with a cross on their cloaks carry the banner of Christianity to the pagan lands of Prussia."
A variety with 2 balls on the left side of the pennant, a straight cross in the center with ball-shaped ends. Unlisted variety by B. Paszkiewicz, known on the market from this piece coming from 67 WCN auctions.
