Piece with traces of binding and restoration. Decent preserved details.

The highest denomination minted during the reign of Poniatowski, introduced by the Resolution of June 1794.

The small mintage - only 5,256 pieces - and good quality gold made these coins scarce to this day and an object of desire among collectors.

A variety with 19 leaves in a wreath.

Obverse: the king's head to the right, in the rim the legend:
STANISLAUS AUG.D.G.REX POL.M-D-L.;

Reverse: crowned coats of arms of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Poniatowskis in oval shields, under the wreath the denomination mark 3 in the wreath , in the rim the legend:
AUREUS 1794 POLONIAE;

Gold, diameter 29.5 mm, weight 12.20 g.
