A very nice, glossy piece, slightly rubbed in the highest parts of the relief, a slight unobtrusive blemish on the rim.
The highest denomination minted during the reign of Poniatowski, introduced by a Resolution of June 1794.
The small mintage - only 5,256 pieces - and good quality gold meant that not many of these coins have survived to this day, and they are an object of desire among collectors.
A variety with 19 leaves in a wreath.
