Sigismund's thaler coins provide excellent material for the study of abbreviations of Latin titulatures in numismatic epigraphy of the modern period due to the inclusion of the full royal titulature. Interestingly, this piece, belonging to a very rare series on the market, uses the German-language name of Prussian Masovia derived from the Mazurian population living there.
It is worth noting that this variety, described by Dostych in 7 variants, despite its rather low degree of rarity, occurred in the Onebid archive in only 14 notations (represented by 12 pieces) out of 166 thalers of this vintage.
