Lot description Show orginal version
Grade: XF-
Reference: Pączkowski 54.3 (R6), Kopicki -, Kamiński-Kurpiewski -

A coin of typological rarity not described in numismatic literature until recently.

The reverse of this piece was used by D. Pączkowski to illustrate the variety in the catalog of these coins published in Warsaw Numismatic Diary No. 9.

Despite the weaker state of preservation, the coin is definitely worth recommending, practically unseen in the trade.

Obverse: in a linear border bust of the ruler wearing a crown, armor, with a robe studded with jewels, to the right, in the outer border legend punctuated by the coat of arms of the Half-Cossic Sub-Treasurer of the Great Crown:
SIGIS:III:D:G:--REX-POL-M:D:L:;

Reverse: crowned shields with the coats of arms of the Crown, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Snopes coat of arms of the Vasa dynasty, in a pearl border, in the outer rim the legend:
-GROS-ARGE-SEX-REG-POL-1624-;
