First vintage of Danzig orts with a new type of bust.
Rosette after the date 1615 on the reverse, colon on the obverse and rosette at the end of the legend.
Circumferential piece, gently under-embossed, but with beautiful natural luster, fine patina.
Definitely recommended.
Obverse: the coat of arms of Gdansk in a cartouche supported by two lions, in a rope border, in the outer border a legend beginning with the Bear's Paw sign in the shield and the mint mark, ending with a small rosette: COIN-CIVIT:GEDANENSIS-1615*;
Reverse: bust of Sigismund III Vasa wearing a crown to the right, with the Order of the Golden Fleece on a chain, wearing armor and a cloak studded with jewels, wearing a tubular orifice, in a rope border, in the outer border a legend beginning with the mint mark:
*SIGIS:III-D:G:REX-POL:M:D:L:R:PRVS:*;
