A circulating, readable piece.
A 1527 crown penny minted most likely in the early months of that year. This variant is characterized by the unusual full decoration of the front rim of the crown in the "pearls" minted on gothic crowned pennies in 1526 and early 1527, and in the small flowers decorating later pennies minted until 1529.
A very rare coin, a photo of which can be found in Gregory Romanczyk's catalog on page 135, under the number GK1527_09 and with the assigned rarity RRR (4 to 10 known pieces).
Obverse: under the crown the legend:
SIGISMVND/PRIM9*REX/POLONIE, below the Odrowąż coat of arms between open colons;
Reverse: in the pearl rim an eagle with a spread tail, in the outer rim the legend:
COIN*REGNI*POLONIE*1527;
