All military busts from Lugdunum, including this beautiful E1 bust, (struck during the 5th emmission) are either scarce, rare or very rare and are

always very sought-after by collectors.

Well struck with great details and almost complete original silvering remaining!

Provenance: purchased from CGB web shop in December 2015 = ex CGB Monnaies 59 auction lot 538 = ex Daniel Compas collection = ex PaulFrancis Jacquier auction 39 lot 602.

Obverse: Radiate, cuirassed and helmeted bust left, holding spear and shield, legend:
VIRTVS PROBI AVG;

Reverse: Felicitas standing right, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, legend:
TEMPOR FELICI; In exergue I;

Silver, diameter 21-22 mm, weight 4,84 g, axis 1 h.
