A beautiful piece of the eagle made for the Warsaw Battalion of the Polish Military Organization. This unit, formed on August 5, 1915, was later incorporated into the First Brigade of the Legions.

Its eagles are among the great rarities on the antiquarian market today.

The mount is missing.

Patina, tarnish. Minted with a deep countermark.

Description: eagle with wings raised, head heraldically to the right, sitting on an amazon shield with nailed 19 nails on the lower trail, resting talons on the upper trail, with a shield with the letter S in the field;

Preservation condition of the object good/very good.

Silver-plated brass, dimensions 29 x 39 mm.
