A rare piece, with few auction listings.
A very interesting composition, as interpreted by B. Haczewska depicting a Romanesque vault, which may mean in this case a baptistery due to the images of deer appearing under the arches (baptismal / rebirth symbolism).
Cracow (or Sandomierz) issue, before the Mongol invasion of 1241.
Mint piece, plastic relief, excellent minting.
For the best collection - definitely recommended.
Obverse: cross composed of four arches, a ring in the center, in each angle of the cross a stag,
Diameter 16 mm, weight 013 g.
