Type minted as the last denarii of Ladislaus the Exile in 1144-1146 during the period of heated battles with his brothers, which is also reflected in this coin depicting two battle scenes.
A very nice, well-minted piece. The coin is struck with a cracked, but quite fresh stamp with excellent visible details, especially the fast clogging in the stamp, such as the pearls of the encirclement and the feathers on the eagle's neck.
Obverse: A knight standing left with sword drawn in hand, holding a shield with a clearly outlined umb, at his feet a figure begging for mercy, with face en face; in the field behind the knight three balls.
Reverse: an eagle grasping a hare in flight; in the fields one bullet each, in the outer rim an imitation of the legend.
Silver, diameter 10.4 mm, weight 0.6 g.
