Piece with beautifully preserved details, polished.

The denomination introduced by the reform of January 11, 1924 minted in this pattern since 1934. According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Poland of August 27, 1932, these coins could be used to pay obligations up to a maximum of 500 zlotys. The coin remained in circulation until November 1939, withdrawn by GG decree.

Coin minted in Warsaw, lowest mintage in 1938 (289,400 pieces). Highest in 1934, but the exact quantity is not known. Reports from the State Mint state only that 7,060,000 pieces of the three types of five-penny coins were minted in 1934, with no information on how many pieces were of each type.

The coin was minted in .750 silver, with a diameter of 28 mm and a prescribed weight of 11 g.

Obverse: state eagle of the 1927 design against a background of rays, in the rim an inscription:
RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 5 ZŁOTY 5, under the eagle's tail the year.

Reverse: bust of Marshal Pilsudski to the left, in front of it the Kościesza coat of arms - the mark of the State Mint in Warsaw. On the shoulder the signature of the designer:
St Ostrowski.
