"A rare, distinctive denarius of Ladislaus the Short - with a helmet, dated 1320-1333.
Issue, the iconographic model of which may have been the Kuyavian coat of arms on Ladislaus' foot seal of 1314.
A variant with an obverse inscription on both sides." -until recently, this was the description of this distinctive and interesting item, but in light of the deliberations of the well-known researcher and enthusiast Mr. Krystian Browarny, which will be made public in a few days, we agree with the author's conclusion that we are dealing with an issue of Casimir III the Great, and not of Władysław I the Elbow-high, as previously believed.
One of the most beautiful denarii of this type, very rare in this state of preservation.
Beautiful mint luster, charming patina.
Definitely recommended.
