Very rare type of Wroclaw denarius from a distinctive issue with St. John's head and SI (Sanctus Iohannes) monogram forming a cross.
Issued by Boleslaw the Wry-mouthed as a Silesian prince, dated 1097-1107.
Definitely a rarer variety with the name punctuated by a ball: BOL . EXL (...)
A healthy piece, scarce.
