A specimen mint piece.
Beautiful luster throughout, no signs of circulation.
The second highest NGC grade, at the present time, for a denarius of this ruler, with no variety breakdown.
The type of denarius linked to the tribute paid to Frederick Barbarossa in 1157, in Krzyszków near Poznań.
A variety not described in Stronczynski:
- on the obverse crescents on the sides of the emperor, the crown square;
- on the reverse the letter M at the beginning and five dashes at the end of the legend.
In this state of preservation - RARE
For the best collections!
