Type of denarius combined with the tribute paid to Frederick Barbarossa in 1157, at Krzyzkow near Poznan.
A very rare variety with a PALMA in the emperor's left hand, on the reverse BOL EZL AV (instead of BOL EZL AVS).
Obverse characteristic of another extremely rare type ADALBERTVS (on the reverse) - Kopicki 61 (R7).
We have not found such a variety in the national numismatic archives, also Stronczynski does not describe such a stamp combination.
A beautiful piece, in an extremely charming patina.
For the best collections.
