A beautiful medallion made in the Prussian partition, perhaps in Gdansk (medallions with the city's coat of arms made by the same maker are known) in the late 19th or early 20th century.
It has a classic round form with an enameled front depicting a crowned tripartite coat of arms with the coats of arms of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Ruthenia on a blue background. Such a representation is typical of patriotic jewelry after the fall of the January Uprising, during which time it was the national emblem.
The .800 silver hallmark and the goldsmith's signature are visible on the reverse.
Preservation condition of the item very good.
Silver .800, gilded and enameled, diameter 18 mm, weight 2.2 g.
