Badge of the last variety dated 1925-1928 with characteristic low letters.
One of the highest numbers, where the higher one known to T. Poniewierka is number 9805 found in the Museum of Wielkopolska Uprising in Poznań.
Typical for the Badge of the Armed Insurgent of Grateful Greater Poland, there are traces of repair in the form of a soldered eagle. Due to the very low quality of the rivets, many of the badges of this type known today have various traces of eagle reattachment.
More on the badges can be read, among others, in the article by T. Poniewierka in Gdańsk Numismatic Notebooks No. 170/2023.
Face: cross with a crowned eagle superimposed on it. The eagle has the initials T.-P. on its shoulders and W. on its tail, and in its talons with torn cuirasses it holds a saber and a rifle, on which rests the cornet of the Greater Poland Army. It is perched on two laurel branches joined by a shield sashed vertically with the letter P.
Reverse: inscription: POWSTAŃCOWI BRONI WIELKOPOLSKA and dates 1918/19 and number.
Preservation condition of the object good.
Tombak, dimensions 47 x 62 mm with collar.
