Scarcer variant of the iconic reverse VIRTVS PROBI AVG, with the emperor Probus on horse attacking enemy with spear, where the enemy is lying with stretched legs and there is no exergual line (type VIR-2 in Philippe Gysen's classification published in the article "Nouvelles données concernant l’atelier de Serdica sous le règne de Probus", Revue Belge de Numismatique 146 (2000).
Extremely rare variant with consular bust. Only the 3rd example of this type exact known. Beautiful example with great details!
