Note: Very rare and highly desirable obverse legend DEO ET DOMINO. Only three Roman emperors, including Probus, have used such a pompous and pretentious title (god and lord) in their coinage during their lives. This title was first used by Aurelian and after Probus also by Carus. A must have in every serious Probus collection.
This oberse legend was struck only with three reverses: Clementia Temp, Soli Invicto and Virtvs Probi Avg. The latter two are much, much rarer than Clementia temp.
Only the 4th specimen of this exact type known.
Virtually as struck with stunning details and full original silvering and mint luster. Spectacular coin!
Unquestionably THE finest known example of a Probus coin with the iconic Deo et Domino obverse legend! One of the absolute highligts of my Probus collection!
