Roman Zakrzewski graduated from high school in Bielsko-Biała. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, graduating in the painting studio of J. Nowosielski in 1985. He showed interest in portraiture, which became the main theme of his work. In the formal layer, the artist referred to the tradition of Renaissance art, Pre-Raphaelites and Amadeo Modigliani. The portraits painted by Roman Zakrzewski are very carefully composed and thought out in the most significant and indispensable elements, they give the impression of eloquent immobility and sophisticated elegance.
He has participated in group exhibitions and charity auctions in Krakow, Rzeszow, Germany, Belgium and the USA. His paintings are in private collections in Poland, USA, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, UK, Japan.
The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the Salon of Works of Art " CONNAISSEUR ".
